Yvonne Bruce

I have recently used W&AS Bruce for producing a will for my late Father, for Confirmation of his Will and finally for the Conveyancing during the sale of my late Father’s property.
The processing of all the above services were completed promptly, efficiently with consummate professionalism and empathy.
The costs associated with all the above services were very competitive.

Been with this company for a while now and have to say best solicitor I've ever had. Very committed and very responsive to calls emails etc. Mr Grieve is a very likeable and well educated man who definitely knows his stuff and takes his clients very seriously. Can't fault this company in any way. Definitely recommend for family solicitors.

Having been on a multi-year journey through the courts with several family-related issues, I employed W & AS Bruce to represent me.

From start to finish no issue was too much trouble. Excellent staff, fantastic communication and always able to handle really emotional subjects with care and understanding. The entire team that I have dealt with have went above and beyond in their service and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them based on my family law journey. A great team and excellent service.

No words can express how grateful I am for Selina and Helen's help over the last 5 years. They have bent over backwards and earned fantastic results for me. I will be eternally grateful for the work they have done for me and my family. Very professional, hard working and Genuinely nice people. They proved it is more than just a job. Thank you both so much. Rach xxx

I engaged the services of W & A S Bruce over several years to represent me in trying to gain custody of my son, and latterly to obtain a divorce. At all times I was given excellent advice, was kept up to date with progress, and the whole process was handled professionally and sensitively. Would not hesitate to use W & A S Bruce in the future if I need legal representation or advice.

I used W&AS Bruce for a simplified divorce. I personally liked that I only had to visit twice, once to pay the bill and once to sign some papers and everything else was communicated through email. In this circumstance that was easiest for me. Everyone was friendly and approachable when I visited. I would use their services again if I needed to.

I can’t thank Selina, Helen, Charles Campbell & all other staff who were all very friendly, helpful & very professional. I would highly recommend W&AS Bruce to anyone who needs legal advice

Selina has supported us through our court cases in the family court over the past 4 years and has been extremely helpful, professional and caring. She has gone out of her way to help us and I would definitely recommend her!

I have used W&AS Bruce for many years now for my conveyancing and family business. They have assisted me again in the sale of my residential home and I am happy to recommend them to others. Thank you to Gillian and her team.

Elderly parents had a Family Trust set up that had been transferred through to a firm in Glasgow after the original solicitors closed. Parents wanted it transferred through to a local firm, as well as getting it reviewed. Met with Anna Hills who arranged all this in an efficient, helpful and professional manner. She explained everything carefully and got the work completed in a lot quicker time than I thought.
Anna also reviewed their wills and carried out some changes that were requested, as well as obtaining some current valuations on investments they have.
Communication was great and the fees were very reasonable. I think Trusts are becoming very popular now to help protect the assets you've built up over the years. I'd definitely recommend Anna.

Arlene & Donald are brilliant human beings. I could not recommend this company highly enough having just done business with them.
Efficient, honest, friendly and straightforward...all really that a client wants.
I would give them 6 stars out of 5 !
Thanks guys.

Family issues took me through the doors of the office. Residency needed to be sorted. From start to finish the whole staff showed compassion, understanding and an immense ability to separate and handle the emotion and hurt from the facts and issues. Very few law firms nowadays leave you feeling important but every email, every communication and every bit of stress was dealt with in such an understanding way.

They are a first-class service. Giving me their full attention. Listening to what I required and giving the advice I needed. I will be recommending this company and use them in the future.

Kate Howitt worked tirelessly with me, always kept me in the loop. Great communication on the phone at short notice too. Emails, phone calls, face-to-face meetings when possible, during Covid. She has advised me well on Family Law for 3.5 years during a long court battle.

It has been a long journey from my initial meeting with Selina. Although the divorce experience could never be described as pleasurable, all of the staff at W&AS Bruce made it as easy as possible due to their professionalism and diligence. I would have no hesitation in recommending W&AS Bruce to anyone seeking legal representation on any matter.

Last year W&AS Bruce carried out conveyancing on 2 properties for me and my husband and I have no hesitation is recommending Janine for your Conveyancing, Wills and Power of Attorney work. What did we contract Janine to do? The answer has to be to provide peace of mind and security for us and an easier journey for our family in the event that we are unable to manage our own affairs.

Now I’ve calmed down and over the shock, I would just like to say thank you. The work you have done for me over the years, the time and effort put into my case. I’m honestly so grateful for everything you have done for me. You believed in me and bent over backwards to make sure we got to where we are today. I know this is your job, you get paid for it, but you're human and proved it’s more than just a job.

Over 25 years you have helped and advised me on buying my first and subsequent houses, assisted with and advised on buying and selling a commercial property, starting and running and selling a business for 10 years (through a recession), dealing with an aggressive commercial bank. I have always found your advice to be professional, sound, logical and always accurate and effective.

I have dealt with Peter McDevitt for around 11 years on various property transactions now and I have always found Peter and the team at W&AS Bruce to be very professional, thorough and prompt. W&AS Bruce was initially recommended to me by a family friend and I have also recommended them to friends and family.

We highly recommend using W & AS Bruce, Peter McDevitt dealt with all our buying and selling documents, no job was too big! He was always at the end of the phone when needed; he made this whole process very straight forward and problem free. We will most definitely be using W& AS Bruce in the future! Thank you for making this process stress free for us!

I cannot recommend W&AS Bruce highly enough. Unsure of what to expect I was greeted with friendly, welcoming and down to earth members of staff. Finding myself in the position of requiring legal advice was not pleasant but Selina and Helen made everything so much easier to understand.

I have been a long standing client of W & AS Bruce for many years, as has my father. They have always provided the highest quality of both legal advice and commercial advice on many matters, including property, commerce and lease management. I would recommend the team to anyone, as I regularly do, in, both my professional and personal life.

I have been a client of W and AS Bruce, Dunfermline, since 1999 and have availed myself of their services on four occasions in that time. Sadly, the last time was during the emotional minefield of a divorce. My Solicitor was Selina Mackay, ably assisted by Paralegal Helen Gibb. They were exceptional.

Peter provided an excellent service! We needed a settlement arranged unusually quickly and in unusual circumstances. Peter was thorough, clear and advocated for us when needed. He went above and beyond our expectations, worked well with the mortgage advisor and together they took care of everything for us.
