Meet Josephine, a Paralegal in the Broxburn Civil Litigation and Property Department. With her sharp mind and attention to detail, she spends her days typing up dictations, sending out emails and letters to clients, courts, and other agents, as well as preparing draft documents and handling filing tasks. She also lends a helping hand to the Conveyancing Team whenever needed, taking care of tasks such as LBTTs, deed registrations, and file management.
Holding a Law Diploma/Bachelor’s Degree from the prestigious Law School at the University of Ljubljana in Slovenia, Josephine also holds a Paralegal Certificate for Family Law from the University of Strathclyde. In May 2024, she became a Law Society Accredited Paralegal for Civil Litigation: Family Law. She has been working as a Family Law Paralegal for almost two years now, but prior to that, she honed her skills as a Legal Executive for Conveyancing for nearly four years.
What drives Josephine is her passion for helping people. It is this desire to make a positive difference that led her to pursue Family Law in the first place. Known for being positive, friendly, reliable and passionate about her work, Josephine truly goes above and beyond to provide reassurance and support to those who need it most.
When she’s not busy with work or studying law books (which she loves doing!), Josephine can be found exploring Scotland with her puppy Chow Chow by her side. Josephine has set herself an ambitious goal – to visit every castle/tower/manor/palace in Scotland! With over 350 already checked off her list (out of 4500!), it’s safe to say that she’s well on track but also some way to go!! Some of her favourite spots include Eilean Donan Castle, Slains Castle and Tantallon Castle – but she also enjoys taking a leisurely stroll along the Fife coastal path.
Fun fact: Before her career in law, Josephine was a cheerleader and even competed at The Worlds in Orlando. Now that’s what we call dedication and discipline!
