After taking a year off in 2024, we’re proud to once again support Mission Christmas - a cause we care deeply about.
Across our firm, we’re delighted to back this amazing local charity, which brings joy to children who might otherwise miss out at Christmas. In past years, our Dunfermline office has been a collection point, and we’ve loved seeing the generous pile of donated gifts grow beneath our office tree! But this year, you can drop gifts off at our Dunfermline, Broxburn and Burntisland offices.
Last year, Mission Christmas raised over £15.4 million, helping more than 306,000 children wake up to a gift on Christmas morning. Across the UK, Cash for Kids supported over 509,000 children affected by poverty, illness, abuse, neglect or additional needs.
WHY WE’RE APPEALING TO THE COMMUNITY…
Times are so tough right now. The cost of living crisis, plus the lingering effects of the pandemic, are pushing local families who were just barely managing into poverty.
Christmas is a luxury they just can’t afford when the choice could be between having enough money for food and heating or buying gifts for their children.
Cash for Kids’ Mission Christmas is stepping in to help. To provide gifts for children across our region who are at risk of waking up to an empty space under the tree on Christmas Day.
This year, we need your generosity and community spirit more than ever. Let’s work together to make sure no child wakes up without a gift from Santa.

We are so very grateful for all the hard work and commitment from the W&AS Bruce team over the years." Jo Bates, Campaign Officer, Will Aid (May 2025)
We’ve been proud to support Will Aid for almost 20 years, though not every year within that time. We feel strongly that everyone should have a Will (one of the most important documents you will ever create, in our opinion), and this scheme allows us not only to help people put their affairs in order but also to give something back to a fantastic cause that supports eight leading charities.
Through our participation in Will Aid, we are proud to have raised more than £44,000 to date for the charity.

Will Aid is a special partnership between the legal profession and eight of the UK’s best-loved charities. Together, we raise vital funds for these wonderful causes while ensuring that people across the UK gain the reassurance of having a professionally written Will.
Making your Will with a Will Aid solicitor helps ensure your wishes are respected while supporting the work of seven of the UK's most cherished charities.
We are taking a break from WillAid this year, but look forward to supporting them in the future.
